As if the tipping point is not enough

I'd like to post something about the Abdul Rahman case in Afghanistan. He's the guy who's on trial for his life from converting (gasp!) from Islam to Christianity, but I'm too tired at the moment. Michelle Malkin and Jawa Report are on the case, however. Just keep scrolling.

My quick take on this is that this has the potential to be very, very bad. Dubai Ports was nothing compared to the potential response of the American people to this outrage if it goes through. After all we have done for Afghanistan, when we had every right to nuke the place after September 11, and they have the gall to pull this? It's almost like nothing has changed.

If you want to convince the American people that the problem is not a fascist strain of Islam, but Islam itself, you couldn't come up with a better way than this. And if the American people believe that the problem is Islam itself -- and that Islam itself represents a grave threat to them -- then a popular movement among the American public for the complete annihilation of the Islamic world becomes a real possibility.
